ABOUT ME
Experience
I started working in the Mental Health field in 2009, as a Direct Support Professional in Portland. I worked for an agency called Affinity and helped children with various developmental disabilities. To further my career, I enrolled in the Graduate Program in Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling at William Paterson University in New Jersey. Throughout graduate school, I worked as a Residential Counselor at Bergen Regional Psychiatric Hospital. I graduated with a Masters Degree in Education in both Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling. My clinical internships consisted of working as a mental health counselor at a community mental health center called CarePlus and as a school counselor at Ramsey High School. Upon graduation in 2014, I was hired as a Child and Family Psychotherapist at CarePlus and a K-8 School Counselor for Norwood Public School. After three years, I moved to Maine and took a position as the School Counselor at an elementary school in South Portland. I continue to work as a School Counselor and work in my practice in the evenings.
